Sebastian holds a Marine Biology degree from Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción (Chile), a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University (USA), and received the International Fullbright Science & Technology Award in 2009.

Since 2018 he is been involved in the field of People Analytics and Research at Zalando, where he currently is Senior Team Lead People Analytics & Research.
